Why can't I share my SmartAlbums project between platforms?

Pixellu SmartAlbums 2 project files can be shared between both Mac and Windows platforms. If you are having trouble opening an album project after transferring it onto a new platform, you may be using an outdated version of SmartAlbums on your second computer. It is also possible that your project file was created on an older version of SmartAlbums, which is why you're having trouble. Please follow these steps to troubleshoot:

1. Check for updates

If you are having trouble with opening a project on a new platform, confirm that you're running the latest version of SmartAlbums 2 on your machine by following these steps. If you were using an outdated version of SmartAlbums and were able to update, try opening your project file again.

2. Update your SmartAlbums project file

Transfer your SmartAlbums project back to the platform that it was originally created on and update SmartAlbums to the latest version. Once SmartAlbums has been updated, open your project file, save it and transfer the project back onto the new platform.
